Stock Contractor Equipment

SB27-50 Pick Up Man Chaps, made from 3oz. chap leather, both outside & liner. 1/2" low density foam filled for protection. Custom Made $665.

SB10-86 Shinguards, made of 10 to 12oz. yellow latigo, lined w/ 4oz. chap leather. 1/2" low density foam in between for protection. $158.

SB10-71 Bull Flank, Heavy duty 5/8" cotton rope w/ 2 1/2" ring plaited in one end. Kodel tube protects flank area, 11' long $29.

 Cowboy Tuff Rodeo Chaps

If your needing a pair of chaps to ride bulls, we recommend that you get into a pair that will give you the protection you need in the bucking chutes and the likelihood that you will, from time to time, get stepped on by the bovine beast.  A pair of light weight thin leather chaps, will not help you much in this situation. So make sure that you have a nice upper 4--5oz leather.
If your event of choice is the saddle bronc, again  4-5oz leather is recommended. Make sure that the leather will take rosin. Some leathers with a real hard slick leather finish will not allow the rosin to work into the leather. Again if you use light weight leather to ride broncs,  you'll be wearing holes in the leather while rosining up your saddle, and it also doesn’t protect your legs much during the ride.

If it is bareback riding that you like, the 4--5oz leather still works for the protection but a 3-4oz leather really flops and pops and dresses up the ride and spurring motion. The protection is not as big an issue in the bareback event.
